The Offenburger Tageblatt newspaper uses DC-X.

The Offenburger Tageblatt is one of the first clients to implement our new asset management system DC-X. Integrated news monitoring, research, archiving and online content creation have provided the newspaper editorial team with totally new ways to edit work and dramatically speed up the creation of content.

In addition to the basic DC-X functionality, the local newspaper also uses the Indesign plugin created by Digital Collection. This enables an integrated workflow in the Indesign production system. It just takes a few clicks for pictures and text passages from the editorial team to appear in the print layout. In addition, this plugin facilitates cross reference. Information on pictures being used is stored in DC-X and is available for simple cost control in later picture searches.

By not using an editorial system with temporary storage, the Offenburger Tageblatt can be produced more cost effectively and faster.

The professional integration of freelance photographers in the editorial workflow means less work for photo editors when researching meta information. In the DX-C system, freelance photographers submit photos into mandatory fields via email, uploads or USB data transfers. This significantly simplifies and optimizes workflow.

The Reiff publishing house and the Offenburger Tageblatt have over 100 employees and process more than 1 million documents. They have chosen DC-X due to our long-standing experience in digital content management as well as the professional support for editorial workflow we are able provide.
